Gov.Knucklehead is an embarrassment to all Floridians. He REFUSED to take immediate action when the problem of over fertilization was brought to his attention. He refused to purchase land South of Lake O to let the Everglades clean and filter the water from Lake O. His idea of a fix is more chemicals.
But then how is it possible that the Fish and Wildlife Foundation of Florida announced it will honor Scott later this year for his “effective conservation” of Florida’s natural resources.http://www.mypalmbeachpost.com/news/news/hail-to-our-governor-an-award-winning-environmenta/nnD2y/?utm_source=fark&utm_medium=website&utm_content=link
Who would ever have imagined that dumping water from the heavily polluted Lake Okeechobee would cause problems? (And why, you may ask, is it heavily polluted?) And just who was the Army Corps of Engineers protecting from “flooding”?.It’s corrupt, destructive, money-worshipping politicians all the way down.
While Scoot stinks to high heaven and a Governor, this problem goes WAY BACK before him, and 99% of the problem rests with the sugar cane industry, land use, pollution, and water deprivation for the Glades, and it is NOT just the Corps of Engineers, though they’ve long been surrogates for industry in many states, not just Florida. The Corps is the contractor at taxpayer expense for the 1%, and long has been.
Florida land use planning has long sucked. Coming into Tampa a long time ago, about 25 years ago, , looked down from the plane at a shopping center being built right over a sinkhole. While at Ft. Meyers at a conference a couple days later, the sink sank, and the whole project was swallowed up! The three of us who spotted the problem, just chuckled and said, “THAT is Florida!”
I recently moved to FL (Where I’d lived for close to 3 decades as a young’n) from MN (where I lived for more than three decades) as a maturing and aging (DUH!) person. I now have doubts about that decision/choice.
If the Republicans had their way the poor would be drinking this water. Maybe they can shoot the water clean, guns seem to be the answer to everything else for this bunch.
I worked for this a—h—- when he ran a number of hospital companies into the shoals of Medicare fraud. Every month every employee got a paper newsletter with a full-color picture of Skeletor on it. I can’t imagine what it cost. He probably owned the printing company, too.

This is what Republicanism can do to your state. Take heed.

Shouldn’t the ‘free’ market take care of all this?

What can you expect from a governor who is a space alien?
