Thank goodness I’m ancestrally part Danish (there is no known trace of Norwegian in my blood). As for the vending machines, how come I don’t remember seeing any of that variety when I was in my early teens?

I wonder if the price of Coke went up in direct proportion to the increase of temperature? Supply & demand, you know….

I’ll bet some of those shopping lists have value, if they had survived.

What’s the point of a servant if they’re illiterate?

Don’t need to be literate to scrub a floor….no written instructions needed!

illiterate means uneducated in the fundamentals of a given art or branch of learning. I guess that means that we are all illiterate. Maybe that’s we all have smartphones.

Re:Official Norwegian … the same could be said for English, at least as it’s developed since the introduction of the twitterverse. There is the version of the language used in official documents, and we know how well that works … anyone heard anything about the movement to make English the ‘Official’ language of the country lately?

So, if temps were below zero did that mean that you had negative prices and the vending machine paid you to get what you wanted?

I really like Ripley’s Believe it or Not. The information it supplies is truly amazing. I am a type of person that does like facts. I, personally, believe that Ripley’s Believe it or Not should have its own website, that is if it already doesn’t have one. I am going to post a question, and I hope no one gets mad at my question that I’m about to ask. If Ripley’s Believe it or Not is based on facts, why is it posted in comics section? After all, aren’t comics supposed to be for humor purposes?

Now I know which part of Scandinavia NOT to visit. The Kenya animation was right: “Forget Norway!”

No official Norwegian language? It’s different enough from Swedish for those original Norwegians to SECEDE from Sweden and found a new country.I remember when Ripley’s Believe It or Not books were sold in bookstores in the humor section. So I’m not surprised at all today to find it in GoComics.

I suppose the price of Coke stayed the same in colder weather and went way up in heat. That’s just greedy.
