Nothing new here, move along. It was all spelled out in a book, hour by hour, a long time ago.BTW, our treaty with Libya, plus the actual protests at the REAL embassy, kept the Marines out of Benghazi, which is why the mercenaries went in and rescued the whole staff at the CIA compound. The choice of where to set up shop in Benghazi was the ambassadors decision. Our State Dept. staffs at many locations haven’t had fully adequate security for years, thanks CONGRESS!

Hey Lisa, why not let your reader read the entire quote regarding “what difference” does it make?

Johnson: No, again, we were misled that there were supposedly protests and that something sprang out of that — an assault sprang out of that — and that was easily ascertained that that was not the fact, and the American people could have known that within days and they didn’t know that.

Clinton: With all due respect, the fact is we had four dead Americans. Was it because of a protest or was it because of guys out for a walk one night who decided that they’d they go kill some Americans? What difference at this point does it make? It is our job to figure out what happened and do everything we can to prevent it from ever happening again, Senator. Now, honestly, I will do my best to answer your questions about this, but the fact is that people were trying in real time to get to the best information. The IC has a process, I understand, going with the other committees to explain how these talking points came out. But you know, to be clear, it is, from my perspective, less important today looking backwards as to why these militants decided they did it than to find them and bring them to justice, and then maybe we’ll figure out what was going on in the meantime.Johnson: OK. Thank you, Madame Secretary.

Yes, yes, that’s all very fascinating. So when are Republicans going to investigate any of the embassy attacks that occurred during the Bush Administration? Those lives mattered as much as the 4 killed in Benghazi, didn’t they?

@leftwingpatriot – You think that putting her words in context helps?

Let’s be clear about what was going on during this interview. She was testifying to Congress because the Obama Administration’s lie Blew up in their face. They tried to hoodwink the American People into thinking this couldn’t have been anticipated.

Later investigation showed that she had been asked to provide additional security and failed to do so. She even took responsibility for it … Later when it was no longer easy to sweep under the rug.

From a very narrow perspective she is correct – It doesn’t matter whether they died because a group of drunken idiots attacked or died because of a coordinated ISIS attack. They would still be dead.

But for many of us it was one more example of the Obama administration taking liberties with the truth and trying to hide what they knew from the American people

Other Presidents have done it too and Other Presidents have gotten caught and paid the price for it. Obama and Lynch wouldn’t even allow the full tape of the Orlando shooting to go out because they didn’t like what some of the shooter’s words implied.

But back to this political stooge. This speaks to her credibility as a leader and I hope this sticks to her like Pig Crap throughout her Presidential campaign.

I see the report swept under the carpet, so that must be Fox news. Still reporting on something that has been proven (what 7 or 8 times) to be a make-em-up funny little hoax again. The media sweeps the non-findings under the carpet and tries to make gold from straw to show she really did something this time – just ask a Republican.

Since Eisenhowers was president in 1959, every US administration has experienced an attack on a US diplomatic site. Some of the worst attacks were during the Reagan Administration. On April 18, 1983 a suicide bomber killed 63 persons — 17 Americans — at US Embassy in Beirut. Among those killed, was Robert Ames, chief CIA Mideast analyst and 7 other CIA employees. This attack had a devastating affect on CIA operation in the Mideast for years to come. The interesting part is, the US setup a temporary embassy in a safe area of Beirut. On September 20, 1984, the new Embassy was also attacked killing 24 people but “only” two Americans. The attack on both sites were carried out in a similar manner. In between the attacks on the embassies, on October 23, 1983, the Marine barracks in Beirut were attacked by a suicide bomber killing 241 American servicemen.

Knowing who committed and catching them are two different things. That’s why they have “WANTED” posters in the post office.

“So you are actually taking a personal experience with one guy and applying it to every conservative???”Just the ones who keep repeating things like, “What difference does it make”.It’s already been pointed out to you that the Benghazi outpost had been stripped of everyone but the CIA operatives. Stevens alone made the decision to travel to Benghazi.Your claim that “Hillary lied”, is not supported by the recently concluded investigation nor any of the previous investigations. It seems safe to conclude that you have no interest in any facts that don’t support your hatred of Clinton & Obama.

If anything, Hillary fell on the sword for the CIA. Like I said, 28 of the 35 personel at Benghazi were CIA employees or contract employees. This was a CIA operation and the State Department provided cover for by designating it “Special Diplomatic Mission.” The fact that she has taken the abuse and blame for others’ mistakes just confirms how much guts she has.

“Under Fire, the untold story of the attack on Benghazi” , by two ex-CIA guys, told the whole story, hour by hour, couple years ago, and all the investigations back up what they said, way back then.

Thanks for wasting 2+ years, $7.2 million and 7 other investigations to prove that this was little more than a contrived witch hunt with Hillary Clinton as it’s target.

Trey Gowdy has proven that he’s little more than a Teabugger Stooge with a bad haircut…

I’m gonna love it when HRC is president and the Dems take over both houses of congress. Then maybe we’ll get something done in this country besides what we’ve got now from the Party of NO!…the obstructionist repuglies. TaTa!
