Actually Ben was “taking” the container to be recycled while Olivia was “bringing” it back.

As much as I like to save various recyclable containers, it is possible to have too many.

Yes, Olivia, you can have too many. I purge them about once a year and keep just the tupperware and one or two little ones.

It wasn’t so much that I had too many (I did) but when I tried to use one I found everything had changed size so that no lids fitted any of the containers!

I’m guilty of the plastic container one. Lunch meat comes in some really nice plastic containers these days, and I find myself keeping more than I should. Aluminum pans, if I had any, would go to the recyclers for cash.

I save the plastic containers myself… but I have a limit on how many I keep. I have two stacks of small butter tubs in my cupboard and one stack of the big ice cream tubs. I don’t keep any more than that. The ice cream tubs make great storage containers for dry foods.

I keep a week’s worth on-hand. When I need to bring a lunch to work, I bring it in plastic then recycle the container after eating.
