It is the total number EVENTS and yes, the total count, not merely the numbers in a single event resulting from idiotically weak gun regulation, that is the real problem. Regulation need not be confiscation from legitimate, rational, gun owners who own weapons that are likewise rational for civilian uses. Testosterone weak folks wanting to play “GI Joe” to boost their image with plastic,blued steel, and massive magazine carrying weapons, have a problem unrelated to the Second Amendment, actually.
It seems gun violence doesn’t happen in GOP families or if it does, they don’t learn anything from it. I was all in favor of the GOP having guns at their convention since it is what they wanted, but the secret service didn’t go along with the idea, of course.

actually, the statistics show that the more guns in the hands of law abiding citizens the FEWER murders there are in the country.
