    treesareusThe bigger the lie, the more likely it is to be believed by the masses. You also left out that Cleveland wiped out the debt and had a surplus, Congress wouldn’t let him return Hawai’i, and it has been more or less permanent war ever since.

    Ben Franklin drafted Thomas Jefferson to work with him to compose the Declaration of Independence in 1776..But long after fighting for Independence, a failed small central government and loose alliance of states under the Articles of Confederation, the actual Constitution we use today — which strengthened the Federal government and made it the supreme authority — did not take effect until 1789..Franklin died in 1790 — he was active and vibrant for the Declaration of Independence, but would have had a very short tenure if selected as Treasury secretary.

    Good thing that whoever’s face is on the C-note doesn’t have to breathe in all the coke that said bills are regularly exposed to.

    I imagine that would be shocking to Ben…
