When billionaire individuals or corporations — those who have benefited the most from our political and economic system — pay zero taxes, the cost of basic public policy operations has to be made up by someone else..And guess who that is?It is to further squeeze the middle class working people so spoiled billionaires like Donald Trump, who inherited his position of advantage from being born to a father who was a member of the KKK from New York (most were from the south) and whose grandfather was a pimp..CONgratulations, TEApubliCONs. This is the guy you chose. And don’t whine about how he doesn’t represent the Republican Party when the actual voters of the Republican Party chose him overwhelmingly.
There is a difference between taking advantage of all the tax rules/exceptions as a citizen and taking that same advantage if you were a politician who had a hand in writing those same rules/exceptions to your advantage. Your congress persons wrote those laws and use them and somehow Trump is the corrupt one? I take advantage of every tax advantage I can get, as I am certain all the commentators on here do as well. Admit it. If you don’t, then you are an idiot. The word “fair” is a four-letter word in my book. How many US illegal aliens file tax returns? How many pay their “fair” share of taxes, no matter how small? How many take advantage of the government services paid for by my confiscated earnings? How “fair” is that?
Does having the word “editorial” in one’s title give one the right to lie?
GDP is a function of productivity and is used to pay expenses, and profit (consisting of wages, and dividends). From 1947 to 1974, productivity, wages, and dividends were parallel lines … workers and owners sharing equally from the increased productivity. From 1974 to the present (neoliberal era), productivity has increased at the same rate as before, but wages have been flat and dividends have grown exponentially. Why would a member of the 1% want to change this? </a
Well, first, he’s lied continuously about releasing them. Second, from what I’ve heard, he didn’t just use loopholes, he, or his accountant, with his signature, just gave phony numbers with no supporting documentation. Third, even Romney, who released two years (for all the good it did him) said there’s something hidden. Personally, I think it’s that he’s not really a rich man. .http://m.townhall.com/columnists/brucebialosky/2016/03/06/why-is-trump-lying-about-his-taxes-n2128170
Well of course Jim. The obvious answer is for the rest of us to pay more so the entitled Rich can continue to look down their noses at us. The really impressive part is how many trolls they got to buy into this.
“A conscientious, public spirited person”We’re not talking about them, we’re talking about the wealthy. Reminds me of this aphorism:Look through a piece of glass, see other people. Cover it with silver, see only yourself.
If only there were a way to get a stimulus package to jobs that are ready to be worked on. A bill that would fix our crumbling infrastructure. We spend more than any other country, but it is severely mismanaged. A social safety net that is not catching the 99% who are not handed everything on a silver tray. We don’t tax our rich, they hide money offshore and get subsidies. From the looks of this toon, if you agree, you should be voting Democratic party this year.

Question? What has his not paying taxes got to do with the truth of the statement?

And the GOP has blocked every major infrastructure bill for the past 6 years. What’s gonna change that?
