It’s hard to get an early comment on Calvin and Hobbes strips, because LOTS of people comment on this!

These strips could pull in, like, at LEAST 60-70 comments per day. One time there were over 86. I guess CAH is still pretty popular! (They’re not as good as Big Nate to me, though, and after all these years, it would have been cool if they started coloring in the strips like how they did with Peanuts Begins. Anyone else agree with the coloring thing?

I hate fishing. If I’m going to catch fish, it’s better to do it with your own two hands. It’s more dangerous, but it’s more fun also. I bet Calvin found out.

With his success rate, Calvin could author “how to” books on fishing. Better yet, anchor his own television show.

Today’s strip pulls a gag right out of animated cartoons.

Night-Gaunt it was my personal opinion. I’ll compare them if I like, as long as I don’t just say everyone prefers big nate over calvin. THEN there would have been a problem

Geez, I didn’t know people hated full-color comics so much. I guess I’m the only one that gets bored by plain ol’ black-and-white.

I love Calvin and Hobbes. But not as much as Big Nate. WHY! WHY DID Big NATE HAD TO END THE BIG NATE NOVELS! WHY!

It wasn’t till my body started to reject all food and water that I had to be rushed to an emergency room when I was down to 112 lbs. It was never diagnosed, but I obviously survive. But it was close. In some ways my life started over then. My second chance. Though I came out weak at the other end of it and am still weak today. But I still abide.

No need to be weak, I eat healthy meals (I do cheat occasionally), and adjust meds accordingly as does LeadingEdge. Exercise is important, and if this is your second chance, live like tomorrow is the first day of the rest of your life…

Getting back to today’s strip with Calvin carrying a fish in his arms; as a fisherman, I wish it was always this easy…

I too will side with the “do not change the original content”, unless it is done as an intentional spoof with the approval of the original artist as appropriate.

Ted Turner was mentioned, and although he did attempt to “colorize” a few black & white films, his actions were frowned upon by the industry, even though he was doctoring films in the public domain. To my knowledge, he no longer does this…
