All the news about Hillary wearing the 12K Armani jacket while dishing on inequality is pertinent here. She is fairly good at talking the talk, but occasionally the elitist oligarch within comes through.
I really wonder why all of the blame is heaped upon the President? The Congress has a lot more capability to make law and manage the government. All the president can do is veto an occasional bill. The congress can declare war or choose to end military involvement. But everyone keeps voting for their guy in the House or Senate. Bernie would not be able to change anything because of this. No wonder we are locked in endless class and ideology struggles. Nobody is willing to really compromise for the greater good.
Democracy only works when you accept the results even if they don’t go your way. Both candidates made their case and I thought that Sanders did a great job of articulating his position. If his supporters now decide to abandon politics for their playstations and allow a Trump presidency that’s their prerogative. But people deserve the government that they elect or allow to be elected.
-“Now it’s time to embrace the opponent who doesn’t care about us and who stands for everything we totally despise.”--“Yeah, to keep out the real adversary who actually hates us and has little but contempt for us, a selfish, repugnant racist. Yup, that opponent is bad, but a lot better than what the other side has to offer.”
ChevJames007You left out Clinton’s support for: permanent war, corporate rule, charter schools, private prisons, capital punishment, ICE family breakups, Henry Kissinger as foreign policy advisor; and against any return of Glass-Siegall. You should be supporting her, she’s the ideal Republican candidate.
As far as the suggestions that Hillary is the ideal Republican candidate, I absolutely agree. The Ryan/McConnell/Boehner -types would have little problem with a Hillary presidency.
I think the problem is when we all put our heads together we get Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump, Dalton Rapattoni, the Kardashians, obesity, pollution, congress and Detroit. Our concise reasoning seems to get worse the more people we put in the decision. There ought to be a way to come up with a better system, but like you I am not sure what the answer is.
jrmermHow many tickets have you gotten for running red lights? You obviously have no concept other than Joe McCarthy got a lot of press coverage for accusing Americans of being that – just as you are doing.

Hey, Ted: I think you and Glenn McCoy should form your own syndicate and spew lunatic nonsense for fun and profit.

Money is power, and the elites are rich. I meant oligarch. Hillary is not (yet?) a billionaire.
