Ah, quality stepfather/stepdaughters bonding. Have fun in the musty cabin to yourself, Val.

Unfortunately I´m pretty sure you had to make a reservation to go there.

Let Phil take the kids. Val would probably enjoy some alone time and it could be another learning experience for him.

Back in the day,,,,,when I finally had enough frequent flyer miles to go to Maui…I stayed in a cheap motel on the beach, but I walked and visited all the neighboring luxury 5-star hotels.Great public art and restaurants.

Interesting that Jan synced the Sunday strip with the current story line in the daily classic strips. Val likely couldn’t go skinny-dipping at the new resort at the other end the lake.

I’ll “rough it” in a nice hotel suite with a hot tub, large tv set, and a mini-bar.

Camping is where you spend a fortune to live like a homeless person. The best I can manage is a Winnebago.

Ah, the Adirondacks in the ’50’s, Lake George, Dude Ranches, etc..add a carload of musical sorts that barely knew how to ride horses and stir in NYC-type girls on their first summer away from home…..ahhh, memories..and the drinkin’ age was 18 at the time, too. How we ever survived, I’ll never know…………
