It was the policies and procedures developed during the “W” initial process and years that led to the incometence of design. But the most outstanding idiocy is that Mossad and EL AL spelled it out long ago, if you let them in the airport, you’ve already lost the whole game.
BTW; if airlines didn’t charge an arm, leg, and first born for checked baggage, and limited carry on, it would greatly speed up the lines. Also, the focus on folks who obviously do NOT match any BEHAVIORS that indicate probable problems, not race, dress, or language, is key to the problem of failure to profile on rational elements.
It dosn’t make me feel safer to see TSA hassling my friend in a wheelchair, or another who physically cannot lift her hands above her shoulders (like John McCain). Of course when an “agent” takes my sunglasses out of their case THREE TIMES to “inspect them”, you must consider just how bad training and policies continue.
