If Congress was doing its job, the TSA appropriations would have been adequate to fund the agency and keep the waiting times down. But this is the Republican Party we are talking about. If guns keep you safe, why aren’t you allowed conceal and carry on the airplane? The only deterrent to a bad guy with a box cutter is a plane full of cowboys. Or do you just say these things and then flip-flop like Trump?
Agencies should have a limited term, metrics to determine their effectivness, and be renewed for another term if and only if, they are meeting or exceeding their goals.
Michael Chertoff had a stake in those machines,right wing graft based on fearthe definition of the Bush admin.Meanwhile the republican congress cut the TSA budget and air travel went up 15% which is why there are long lines.It appears that there is nothing that republicans cannot make worse.

TSA is a joke. Mostly show and all it does is cost money and slow everything down and create a lot more government jobs and future pensions.
