I’d rather have his problem than the one I have. I’d rather be pale all over. I have vitiligo in my hands and in the summer, it’s more prominent. For those who don’t know, vitiligo is loss of skin pigment. You may have seen dark-skinned people with patches of skin that are like that of a light-skinned person. The condition does affect people of all races and skin color, but is less prominent in those that are lighter (like me). But in the summer, even with sunblock, the parts of my hands that still have the pigment get a little darker and then my hands look all splotchy. I’m very self-conscious about it.
