We’re finally going to get the goods on why Bribery is taking care of Notta and Purdy. This should be good!

Bribery is probably waiting for Purdy to regain consciousness and tell him where the gold is. Notta’s smoking might be a part of Purdy’s therapy

Two days comes awful fast these days.

Well, I suppose they still have to pack, but at least the laundry is done. :) Blaze is going to have to give Tracy a call sooner rather than later.

I’ve been wondering about this for more than a year. Does Notta have something on Bribery? Is she his mistress? More likely it has something to do with Purdy and Bribery’s plan to invade the moon, as I see it. I’m glad we’re finally going to find out!!

Let’s hope Blaze’s questioning doesn’t start to raise Notta’s suspicions.

Stupid Question: Should Notta be smoking with Purdy on Oxygen?

Looks like Blaze is giving Purdy something liquid in a small cup, probably medicine. Purdy must be conscious to be able to drink that.

Can’t wait to find out why Mr. Bribery has been so generous with Notta. I bet he isn’t too happy with her video, though – going out of her way to get Tracy’s attention is not the smartest thing she’s ever done.

“I see that Notta is wearing lipstick that changes color. (See yesterday’s strip.)”I noticed that, too, JPuzzleWhiz. Not only that, but Notta’s hair and skin colors are different, too. I wish the gocomics colorist would pay closer attention to the colors provided in Shane Fisher’s Sundays (which in turn follow the colors provided by Gould in the 1967 Sundays with Notta, for that matter).

I see that Notta is wearing lipstick that changes color.

I thought her lipstick looked out of place. (It’s an unusual colour, too.) The problem is that the Sunday strips are usually released to publishers earlier than the dailies, so everything doesn’t come in at the same time. Still, it might be a good idea for the colorist to check more carefully for continuity.

I still believe and have said several times here that Purdy is not as much of a vegetable as he seems.

Bribery wants desperately to get back to the Moon. He ordered Melies to steal a Space Coupe. He spent millions to try to clone a new Moon Maid.

Purdy, before being frozen, knew the location of several caches of stolen Moon gold (worth much more than the billion on the train).

I believe that the packages being sent to Notta contain drugs calculated to keep Purdy in his comatose state until Bribery has a way to get back to the Moon. When Bribery needs Purdy, he will revive him.

Notta is only taking care of Purdy because she believes something is in it for her.

As you can see in the above panels, Notta’s cigarette smoke causes reactions in Purdy.

When Purdy was “alive” he was working with Mr. Intro. There are many similarities between Intro’s gang and Bribery’s Blackhearts and the Apparatus. I have speculated in the past that I believe Intro and Bribery are one and the same person.

Intro was supposedly vaporized by Tracy firing a Moon weapon at his yacht. Bribery was supposedly killed when Notta and George Chin Chillar dumped him out of a Space Coupe. Bribery is slippery and if he survived one he could possibly survive the other. No one ever saw Intro’s face so the person who died on the yacht could have been another Bribery doppelganger.

I also believe that Bribery may have been the leader of the 52 gang.

My ‘recall’ from the time, was that the Silos on that farm … bore a “strong physical resemblance” to an upright Space Coupe, thereby creating a near natural disguise (or camouflage) for their Space Craft !

Additionally, that City was “Home”, and instinctively (if safe) they preferred to be there (?)Further, that it likely belonged to a farmer … they had ‘no idea’ that it was actually the HQ of gangster Piggy Butcher

If Notta and Blaze bug out, Blaze could leave a clue in the empty apartment for Tracy to find.

Lipstick like that is available.

Notta was released from prison early to care for Purdy. As far as we know she was his sole caregiver until very recently. I’d estimate around seven years in Tracytime. Blaze has been a big help, but she has only been around a short time. It seems off the mark to me to suggest Notta has no feelings for her brother. She wrongly blames Tracy for Purdy’s condition, and seems to have grown bitter during her years as a caretaker and widow. When she was questioned in jail about his possibly having committed murder, she insisted he was a good person not capable of the deed. She was wrong. Purdy committed two murders before being returned to “life” by Klipoff. I’m not making a case for Notta’s ethics, of course, only saying she is a more complex than we’ve seen lately. Her faults and crimes are many. Yet I believe she loves her brother.

Bribery’s concern is probably not so much for Notta as for the potential Purdy has to provide the location of gold.As for what Blaze is doing with Purdy in panel 3, that tiny container she holds seems to be one of those cheap plastic disposable pill “cups” used in hospitals (and also by some candy manufacturers). Can Blaze stall Notta long enough to call for Tracy?
