In ancient times, a ‘soothsayer’ was supposed to be someone who either told a truth to another, or someone who could truthfully foretell the future.
Doesn’t sound very soothing…
A “sooth” is a mis-pronounciation of Gorge Carlin’s description of “shoot”
That doesn’t make you sound intelligent, Sluggo.
