Ever notice that most of the female characters created by BB have noticed that Bloom County was a boys’ club and DECIDED to move on after staying a year or two? A sampling: Bobbi Harlow, Yaz Pistachio, Alf Mushpie, Lola Granola, Ronald Ann, and Pickles. Those latter two hung on for perhaps the longest, but they hadn’t yet hit puberty and could tolerate a little immaturity.
