You’ve left out “global warming doesn’t exist;” the gerrymandered right-wing nut job NC legislature also fixed measurements of coastal waters so they couldn’t measure the ACTUAL levels, which are increasing. They also cut money to the state university system (once the best in the country), and found ways to put political wheelhouses in charge of it and eliminate academic organizations that were fully funded but might question some of their nonsense.NC was once the progressive state, with great education — I grew up there, and it was a good place to grow up. I will never go back until they fix their bloody mess.

There is a difference between satire and vile distortion of the truth. Clay Jones can’t tell the difference. And what right does the federal government have to keep the people’s money because they don’t agree?

No men dressed like women in the girls toilet… On the other hand.. seems we have no problem with men dressed like women in the boys toilet. The law should have had a requirement to dress according to the sex you were born with. Simple.. females wear dresses.. males wear trousers.

Alberta-oilOne of the great etiquette experts of the 1920s. Katherine Hepburn established the right of women to wear slacks in the 1930s. How did you miss that news item?.Bruce4671“In order to form a more perfect union” More perfect than what? Than the Articles of Confederation that had proved unworkable – the system to which you anti-Americans want to return in order to destroy the USA. Those who refuse to study history…

the state’s HB2 law violates Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, which bars discrimination on the basis of sex in the workplace, and the Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, which prohibit discrimination on the basis of sex in education. Unless North Carolina officials address the issue, the state risks losing millions of dollars in federal education funding. The North Carolina law creates a mandatory statewide discriminatory policy and does not include specific protections based on sexual orientation or gender identity. The law prohibits transgender people from using public bathrooms that do not match the sexes on their birth certificates. The fight for gay and transgender rights is a continuation of the civil rights era and North Carolina is aggressively fighting the administration for their right to be bigots.

When I read Cyril Kornbluth’s “the Marching Morons” in 1959, I thought it was wild, implausible fiction – now I see it was merely prescient fiction – and I mourn our world, truly!

Everything that I have read about the “Target boycott” says it is backfiring on the bigots. There are anti-LGBTQ crazies patrolling the restrooms and peeking in stalls trying to find someone transgender. Instead, they are the ones coming across as perverts.

I went to Target a couple of days after their announcement. One of the checkers was wearing a red T-Shirt with the circular Target logo, with the top half replaced by a gay-pride rainbow. It was so refreshing seeing that, after reading about the god-awful hatred, bigotry and lies coming from the Red state Republicans. Go, Target. Their envelopes were also 20% the cost of the same envelopes at Office Max.
