How are the Republicans going to take the nomination from Trump now that Cruz has dropped out? To either ignore the clear instructions of its electorate, or renounce their chosen messenger, would be for the Republican Party to forfeit its future, and cling to a discredited and dead past. If Trump is the rope, Cruz was the stool and the voters are the ones who rallied to the issues Trump raised and kicked the stool out from under the elite-elephant.
Democrats should not be complacent. It’s way too early to call this election. Get out and work to elect Democrats to the Presidency, the House, and the Senate.

A travesty.But the republicans jumped themselves into the fire by the party not realizing that most people, including republicans, are struggling and they have no desire to change to help folks.By catering only to the rich and big corporations they have lost their main base.
I hope you’re right on this one. I’m old enough to recall the media trying to pronounce them dead when Nixon had to resign. They came back worse than ever and have done enormous harm to this country.
