I, on the other hand, believe it is on an ever-quickening hand-basket trip. Destroying our own living environment more and more all the time; horribly under-educated kids; fewer and fewer personal freedoms; more and more cuts to social services; larger and larger disparity in the distribution of wealth; and, although we still have the two-party system, now it’s the Crooked Party and the Looney Crooked Party…
Still the model for democratic government. No president can change that.
Can’t say I disagree and our system of checks and balances is mostly responsible for maintaining stability, but some presidents have been very influential
