5.6% of the voters were prevented from voting by closed primaries in New York. I wonder what would have happened if the 3.2 million independent voters hadn’t been excluded by the parties?
I think it is interesting how New York voted like most of the other states, nominating Trump and Clinton. There was nothing new from New York. People are acting like it is a shock against the people, or New York is doing something other than the will of the people. New York voted Trump and Clinton, just like a majority of other states, New Yorkers celebrated their newfound relevance by doing what everyone else has done.
Let’s see what California does. Maybe all of the those that mistakenly registered AIP when they meant no party affiliation will re-register prior to the cut off in May.
