What is this thing called Graduation. I was given a choice do what I want you to do or leave home, I was 15. Was not accepted first time, was the second time. R.A.N. apprentice school, took 20 mths to get discharged, not a SNLR either.In the 1950’s school ended at 3pm not as now 3-30pm.
Pity they don’t rerun Ginger Meggs from the start, or from as far back as they can. Although he was originally strictly Aussie, some of the current jokes will make more sense.
