    Some shows can get away with a laugh track because they only use it when something funny is said.

    On other shows it’s overdone, obvious and annoying. “Hey you stupid idiot, that was funny. Why aren’t you laughing? Are you some sort of retard?” It seems like the worse the show is, the more often the laugh track is used.

    In the other hand, where a laugh track is really needed, it is never used: Political Debates.
