    if you want help spotting them (satellites) even in the light pollution of the Houston Metroplex. At www.heavens-above.com (no user id needed) change the default location to your city and then save the link. You can then look up the next visible pass of lots of cool stuff like ISS, Hubble, a North Korean satellite. Or get the list of all visible ones for your location during the twilight of the next sunrise or sunset. tonight’s list of the brightest (brighter than 3.0) is 6. if it were darker here the list is over 150 from 8:06 pm 9 minutes visible to 11:47 pm for a short 6 second visible. Enjoy.

    BTW painted black would collect a lot of solar heat that would be a problem.

    TexMichaelTwilight is the time between sundown and dark; the time between dark and sunrise is called dawn, as in early light. Because of their altitude, satellites can be seen well into the dark at both ends.
