That man in the first frame is so worked up by his projection, he’s about to faint.Another manufactured “moral” wedge issue.

Think about the transgender male having to walk into the women’s without getting shot. Pepper, electric, or lead.

What I don’t understand about these laws is, how would they be enforced? Will there be someone checking birth certificates before you can piss? Same way the laws allowing Christians storekeepers not to have to sell to gay folks. How will they know who is straight and who is gay?

Why do we need to use toilets as a group? Or shower in a group? How about a little privacy?

It does not help that the creator of the Charlotte ordinance that got everyone up in arms is a registered sex offender pedophile.

How about uni-sex bathrooms, with private stalls.

“Gender” was probably invented so proper people wouldn’t have to say “sex”.Much like white and dark meat avoids “breast” and “thigh”.Puritans still live. So what happens when a burly guy goes into the ladies’ room because he was born a girl? Will the guys be comfortable when Caitlyn Jenner steps up to the urinal?

A lawsuit was filed Monday to declare the state law, House Bill 2, unconstitutional and a violation of federal laws banning sex discrimination. While the discriminatory, stated focus of the legislature in passing H.B. 2 – the use of restrooms by transgender people – is on its own illegal and unconstitutional, H.B. 2 in fact wreaks far greater damage by also prohibition local governments in North Carolina from enacting express anti-discrimination protections based on sexual orientation and gender identity.

From my perspective, the idea of gender identity is logically the most appropriate choice for which room a person should use. However, with gender identity sometimes being different than biological reproductive anatomy, it leads to some inconsistencies which can prove troublesome to some folks. Perhaps the bigger issue is…. why do we still have communal restrooms to begin with? We could make things perhaps a lot easier by having all public rest rooms be unisex and all restrooms would simply have stall-enclosed toilets in them to their capacity.I still occasionally see in some older bars in my region, the male restrooms with true communal “troughs” for urinals…. after drinking, as many guys as possible belly-up to the trough and expell their used beer. The communal trough of that sort is such a strange and jarring sort of experience to come across these days, even though it used to be very common in male restrooms.

The NC Attorney General has stated outright that he’s not going to defend this law in court. A) Because it’s a bad law, and B) he’d lose.

In fact, sex, like gender, is a spectrum running from XX female to XY male with a wide variety in between including physiological intersex (what sex is someone with an XXY or XYY genome?). Suggest reading “Evolution’s Rainbow: Diversity, Gender, and Sexuality in Nature and People” by Prof. Joan Roughgarden. The manichean concept of only two distinct sexes comes from reliance on a fictional work promoting a restricted worldview and the political agenda of a constricted religious ideology rather than direct observation of the actual diversity of nature.
