I have seen the habit of nailing jar lids to a board or ceiling and using the jars to store thing, more times than I can remember. But only by certain generations… And not anytime in the last 15 years.
Grateful for the computer age. I’ve gone through boxes of photos and slides scanned to USBs and copies sent to all that would be interested. But the wife is another problem,She is a sucker for everything on QVC and Hoarders Served Nicely!

We can’t take our stuff with us, can we? I think the Pharaohs tried, but it didn’t work.

My wife and I are pairing down, we don’t want our son to have wade through mounds of stuff when we pass on.

Gibbs has jar lids nailed to the underside of a shelf in his basement. (How does he get those boats out of there?)
