Mixing pagan religion with Bible beliefs is wrong. What does light have to do with darkness? Bunnies and eggs are Fertility Goddess ideas. Sorry…not for me

Thank you…this made my Easter a little bit happier to see that there are still some people left who remember why we are celebrating it.

Another Christian holiday calling for massive spending by latter-day believers (in greed).

The true meaning of Easter: Easter (named for Ostara, the fertility goddess whose name also gives us the name of the female reproductive hormone Estrogen) was and is a Spring fertility holiday. The word Easter is not from the Bible and the spring celebration long predates the Bible. Even the calculation of when this movable holiday occurs is still based today on the Spring equinox and the full moon. It is a Spring holiday.Eggs and bunnies, the symbols still observed by “Christians,” are also not in the Bible, and are symbols of FERTILITY, not atonement for sin. The Christian Easter is a celebration of HUMAN SACRIFICE.Primitive tribes sacrificed virgins to ensure a bounteous harvest.Conservative Christians believe god sacrificed himself to himself to save people from himself. http://danizier.wordpress.com/2011/04/22/bloody-human-sacrifice-atonement-mythology/

The term “pagan” originated from the early centuries of Christianity. It delineated people who had been bypassed by the Gospel and who stuck to the old ways. It carried the sense of “rube”, “out of the loop”, “hick from the sticks”, “backcountry”, “bumpkin” etc. Always have to laugh at lefties who boast about how pagan they are. D’oh!

Easter on way to being over-commercialized!! Isn’t it time to put up the Christmas decorations now that the bunny has hopped away for another year??
