It’s bad enough that there’s rabbit associated with Ishtar, but a possum for Passover? Beyond poor taste.

What could be wrong being the Passover possum? Delivering the foods for the seder dinner?

Neither actually, although I appreciate the historic significance of the Passover, Easter just confuses me.

I’ll take all the holidays I can get!I’m pretty non-observant… but sure, I’ll come to seder…

And by the time Passover comes around this year, I can bring you some half price chocolate bunnies.

Yeah yeah, bad joke.I apologise to the rest of the tribe.

RadarRecon….I dunno… I never actually tasted possum…. so I don’t know whether it tastes good or bad.But I’m thinking I shouldn’t have one for Passover, anyway, cos I bet it’s not kosher.Meanwhile… Ishtar has nothing to do with Easter!

Easter was named for a different goddess… Oestre or Ostara, and a rabbit was one of her symbols way way back in time…even before the internet.Ishtar, I believe, was associated with the lion.

Actually, I believe it’s spelled O’Possum, which makes them Irish. Therefore they are mascots for St. Patrick’s day. Not Passover.

@TonyEaster. In fact, just got back from an Easter Sunrise Service. Which unfortunately was held inside since it was rainy-looking, so no sunrise, just an Easter Service.

Easter, but our church served a seder last week. Here in the South we are friends of Israel.

Celebrate Easter. Try to explain to the Sunday School kids what it’s all about and why Passover is also important.
