Turning towards Hillary would violate The Pledge. The GOP would follow Attila the Hun against Hillary if he won the nomination, even if that road took the nation over the cliff, which it probably will.
Out of all of them, Hillary is a pragmatist. She is most likely to be able to actually get something done that will help the country. She also has by far the best resume. Her experience as secretary of state is a big plus in dealing with the rest of the world. Her biggest problem will be the Tea Party who wants to return us to medieval times. They want to invade the middle east again and cut all the social programs, and waterboard anybody who doesn’t go along with their program. Of course the tax breaks and subsidies to big business would remain in place.

The Democrats are liars, that’s why I vote Republican. I like their lies better. The establishment GOP and Democrats are indistinguishable.

How about selecting candidates based on proven competence instead of party affiliation?

Take a right turn, now, or, take a right turn a little way farther up the path. Excellent, Ms. Benson!

Then Trump came along and pushed elephant over the edge.

Is there some symbolism in that Cruz and Trump are left of Hillary?
