It really points out that we in the US are really a murderous bunch. Gun deaths about five times higher that the rest of the developed countries and overall murder rates that are three times higher. I guess it is something we excel in while we lose ground on things like health care, education, and quality of life in general. Talk about the decline and fall of western civilization. I fear our children and grandchildren will have to live in a much harder world.

More people killed in cars than shot. Are we going to ban cars too? Statistics show where guns are legaly available there is less crime

enough w/ blaming color or poor or rich; it is your education and upbringing that puts you in the environment to choose to work and respect life. I guess God giving you a brain means NOT to use it? An adult who is less fortunate can still teach or bring up a child to not choose a life of guns and how to obtain a job.

Gun deaths are gaining on car deaths, and exceed them in 21 states. What could be making the change? Laws, maybe?

“More than 60% of people in this country who die from guns die by suicide.” I know you think this is an excuse, but I don’t. Suicide attempts by “other means” fail more often, and the attempters go on and live. Failed attempts at self shooting can also ruin a life forever, like a blind man we used to know, or people on permanent life support.

Also a car has to be registered, and pass certain tests, and to drive a car you have to also past a test, and register as a car owner.

    Denis, you said:

“How many of the cool kids in your high school got high, drank, dropped out or never got any kind of job training and are now ex cons with kids on welfare and food stamps? Because they were to busy getting high to learn how to work at a job besides fast food and they got fired from that.”Since you asked, most of the ‘cool kids’ that I know who did that are living on the bottom of our society and voting Republican, and worse. Like, maybe, voting Trump and Cruz.

@Bruce4671“That particular law, old coal, is already in place and enforceable in most states. A gun owner is required to secure guns and ammunition if a minor is present, "Pants on fire, there. This is probably the third or fourth time I’ve corrected someone about this. Only a three states & DC have laws imposing criminal penalties for having an unsecured gun where a child might access it. Four more states have laws that impose criminal penalties if the child actually accesses a gun. Seven more states have laws that only apply to cases where the child gets the gun & either shoots someone or threatens someone in public with the gun. Thirteen states only impose a penalty if someone intentionally allows a child access to a gun. That leaves 23 states with absolutely no laws regarding safely storing guns when there is a child in the home.

Guns are working on eclipsing vehicles as COD, and they ARE designed for that purpose.

Superposition the ‘reply’ button wouldn’t work so here’s my response to the wiki gun graph:

Interesting chart. It shows exactly the opposite of what it implies.

The US at 9 deaths divided by 90 guns is a ratio of 0.10 deaths per gun.

Canada at 5 deaths per 30 guns is a ratio of 0.17 deaths per gun. 70% more than the US.

Conclusions: Less guns can result in more deaths per gun and the Canadians are more dangerous than Americans when it comes to guns.

    Fascinating.
