What?! Makes perfect sense! People in heaven get bird wings out of their backs, and birds in heaven get hands growing out of, I dunno, their backs, I guess.
If it’s a crow, and if you have problems with crows raiding your garden or fruit trees (they do sell realistic fakes for this) put it out there—but make sure you do it at night! You don’t want them to see you at it or they’ll attack/harass you on sight for generations! Put it out at night in the dark and then leave it there about a week. What will happen is that all the crows around will gather and hold a funeral, paying their respects to their fallen comrade. And then they will leave. And they will not come back. Crows do not want to be where a crow died. This is from a study by a U WA prof who wrote a book about his research on crows.
