Cruz’s family and the GOP think he’s creepy – even Palin prefers Trump. His parents seem almost uncomfortable around him – as he tries to convey human feelings and interactions. His wife Heidi tried to keep as far as she could from the GOP debate celebratory kiss. His 7-year old daughter did all she could do to squirm away from him as he tried to give her a hug and kiss.Seems like his family, other politicians and a lot of voters are just not into this guy.
I must say, he comes off more as a sociopath than a loving dad. I won’t judge him by one short video with a possibly cranky child, however. Instead, I will judge him by the pattern of his career choices and political positions, which support my perception!
It would be in poor taste if his family liked him – but he reminds me of the way Romney kept trying to convince us he’s a real human with emotions and human feelings. He has a family so he has something behind him on the posters – and they know it.

Cruz can pitch the fake good old country boy persona for awhile. It made him look more like the Pillsbury doughboy anyway.
