Notorious Notta so naughty, she peruses bold headlineSeems Tracy has left Tracyville, which suits Notta just fine.In her skintight little suit, much flesh does it exposeHot-blooded folk appraise her gifts, salute as interest grows. Her body suit clings to her form just like a second skinHair piled high, sweet exposed thighs, Notta dressed for sin.On the horn to Bribery, she sets her plan in motionRevenge so long kept simmering, yet Notta has a notion.A plan vile and nefarious, Bribery supplies the thugsBlaze would seek to talk her down, concerned about the drugs.Latest bottle emptied out, now Notta on a tearRages against her better half, shows her the door’s right there.Blaze a bit crestfallen, sees her charms are not persuasivePurdy quiet as the grave, live death, he’s not evasive.Notta wins the argument, need not raise her voice nor shoutThis wicked gal shall have her way, she knocks her girlfriend out.

The object Notta used (a vase? a trophy?) appears to be taped together as though it has been used more than once as a weapon. Now the question is this: is Blaze dead? We weren’t shown exactly which part of the head was hit.

Poor Blaze. I think that symbol above her head indicates a groan (i.e., that she’s still alive). At any rate, it would be pretty harsh to kill her off just as she’s turning to the side of the angels.

Blaze was awfully naive to think she could get out of it that easily. I don’t think Notta has knocked her off, but what’s Notta going to do to (or with) her next?-And on this cliffhanger, we get ready to saddle up with Vista Bill! Hi-yo, Comet, away!(Wait a second, that’s not right…)

… And she had the Weapon … right behind her, in panel 1 !Lightening fast draw ! And it seems the ‘ASH’ didn’t even fall from her cigarette ?

Apparently ‘thinks’, she can coerce Blaze to assist with her plan for Tracy - whatever that may be ?

Interesting “upsurge” of ‘interest’, and in number of posts that wasn’t apparent a few days ago, with the activities in Cuba !(?)

Perhaps, an ‘unintended’ message coming via the Postmen ?

will this little encounter signal a “turn” for blaze rize?? Is she possibly going to the side of the angels? Or will she kill Notta for the cowardly attack?

And just HOW does our lovely and talented VISTA BILL fit into all this chicanery?!?!?! Perhaps “Senor Tracy” will stop by Vista Bill’s swinging bachelor pad in Cuba?

Very interesting. I doubt Blaze is dead, but what is Notta going to do with her? Will Blaze become a pawn in Notta’s deadly game? As contemptuous as Notta is of her, I’m wondering if a pawn is all Blaze has ever been.

I said yesterday I was rooting for Notta, and this is why. Not to kill Tracy! But because I’m excited to see her back in action and using sex to manipulate people. She did it to Piggy, and it cost him his empire. She’s done it to Blaze, has it cost her her life?

Love the four-panel format! Very pleased to see Notta in her original attire and with her original attitude. She is a classic Gould character with tragic aspects to her story. It seems she has had a revenge plan simmering for some time. Bribery is happy to supply the thugs, so safe to assume Notta remains in his employ. Does the empty bottle suggest she is dipping into the product? A revenge plan that is triggered by Tracy’s being away in Cuba does not bode well for his family. Tess, Bonnie or Joe could be vulnerable. As a private investigator, Tess is too skilled. Joe is too boring (at least he isn’t “cool dude”), so Bonnie gets my vote for family member most at risk. To mess with Mini-Moon Maid (Honeymoon) would quickly bring Mysta to the warpath. Unwise is the one who lifts a hand against Imoto-Chan.We saw signs of Blaze’s reformation at Ace Tower. T-Bolt (Lee Ebony) sensed her heart was not in her association with the Blackhearts and let her slip away before the SWAT team—and Mysta—descended on Ace Tower. Will Blaze be able to stop Notta from the folly of acting against Tracy’s family?Purdy remains a wild card. While my theory that he was faking and, thus, helped with the theft of Choo Shooz’s stolen gold was apparently wrong (crow fricassee for me), he can still have a miraculous recovery anytime Team Tracy wants him to. Could Purdy snap out of it long enough to save Notta from herself? The fate of classic characters matters. Crime doesn’t pay, but neither does it necessarily result in death. I am very pleased with the return of Bribery and Notta. They strike me as the rare villains worth keeping alive. A criminal in jail or hiding is an ace in pocket, ready to be played when the Team deems it is time.

Thanks to Vista Bill, Jonathan K., Night-Gaunt49, Gweedo, cpalmeresq, Willy007, fhofmann, Day-Day2001, JPuzzleWhiz and Ray Toler for the kind words. Very much appreciated!

    @ Fredville

“. . .…. and remember, folks….we never actually saw her KILL Flaky Biscuits, did we? That may well have been no accident on Mikes part…..I’m betting it wasn’t and Blaze is not guilty of murder one……”

Well there you GO . . .. . . a Review - for you, of the relevant strips . . .We can note (Aug 16th) that “finding” Flakey Biscuits was a BIG event for her. In fact, so important, we glean (from her remark) - it was a “Job Clincher” !

Seems Blaze had to travel to another city to locate her, and then stealthily impersonate her Driver to engineer her into a compromising situation.

In the 3rd strip (Oct 29th) we see IT, the really Big Gun, (possibly, making Apollo’s .50 caliber - look like a Toy?) And mind you, no pulling of the trigger, but that not unusual in ‘current day’ Dick Tracy where the Authors often leave what happens next - to the readers ‘imagination’ !

We can all ‘assume’ what happened NEXT, including Flakey being “scared” to death . . . ?Or even “released”, after Blaze (in the aftermath of that ‘considerable’ effort) took an (inconsequential) Pyrrhic Victory Lap !

After your review of these strips - You decide !

Oh, no! Blaze is down!—But still, it seems, “just” knocked unconscious.Even if she did blow Biscuits away for revenge in the first place but also for cash and considerations, she has not seemed to have heart for a life of crime, preferring respectable perversion instead. But now nasty Notta (why so many readers like her escapes me) has struck the first blow in her new campaign of evil. Tracy’s family seems to me to be her next target. Will Blaze be allowed to recover? What will happen to her next? Will she get away from Notta and try to warn the Tracys or the MCU?

Meanwhile, I must acknowledge Pequod’s poem of the day, a good summary song, and warm up YouTube and William Tell for tomorrow. Hi yo, VB! On, Comet!

Thanks for your comment. I’m sure that a lot of people feel the same way. Joe knows that he gets a big reaction whenever he draws “curvy” women and I think that’s why Notta is back in her traditional clothes and even Blaze seems to have become more curvy lately.

Because it wasn’t a Kryptonian equine. Krypton had dogs (Krypto), and they had monkeys (Beppo) but no equines survived. Comet the Superhorse was in fact an earth born centaur who save the life of Circe. She intended to make him all human but because of a sorceror made him all horse. To compensate, Circe gave him superpowers including (apparently) immortality. Comet was then exiled by the sorceror to a distant world under a force field but Supergirl’s rocket released him and he became devoted to her. Later a magic spell (I’m not making this stuff up folks) allowed Comet to turn into a human whenever a comet entered the solar system where he was. In his human guise he was known as Bronco Bill Starr a rodeo cowboy that Supergirl fell in love with (but then she was falling in love in practically every story). Work out the psychological impacts of that on your own time.

Very good comments, ybmps! You explained yourself well, and you are far from alone in having strong feelings about Mysta and Notta. It’s all good! I’m glad you sounded off, and I also sympathize with a great deal of what you said. Don’t be afraid to express your thoughts like that. All the members of Team Tracy read the comments every day, exactly for this reason, because they want to know what readers like you think. I expect your passionate feedback will make an impression with them. As for the other posters, you’ll run into the occasional heckler around here, but the regulars are generally quite respectful of each other. A good discussion group, really. Anyway, thanks for chiming in, and I hope to hear your thoughts again very soon.
