It’s so unfair. If a woman dresses like a ragbag, it’s her choice but if a man dresses like a ragbag, it’s his wife’s fault.

I keep swearing I’ll throw it out,but every year———

Oh John, you never scratch in public.

Why is it things get worn out about the same time they get broken in?

Jacket “disappears” in my house, lost forever by my overzealous housekeeping ways.

“No honey, I didn’t see that jacket lately. Where did you put it the last time you wore it? You must have left it somewhere.”

Sounds like my dad. He never gets rid of anything. Shirts and pants and socks filled with holes.

Shouldn’t all of that be done before you leave the house?

First of all: Elly, if it looks that bad, can’t you sew up his lining, for heaven’s sake???!!!

Second of all: John, you may think you’re scratching in private under your coat but let me assure you … you’re not fooling anybody when you do that!
