Phoebe: Do you have anything to say to future Phoebe? Marigold: What? Phoebe: I'm not gonna need my heavy winter coat that much longer. Pretty soon it'll go in the closet. And then next fall when I get it out again, anything I find in the pockets will seem new! It's like a time capsule! I'd be happy to include a message from you in my note to future Phoebe. Marigold: Tell her I am envious of her pockets! Phoebe: I thought you might have something more...profound. Marigold: Also, could you have future Phoebe ask future Marigold if she remembers where I left my right front legwarmer.

And then what? Would Future Marigold use some sort of time travel spell to send the answer back? And would it need to be from next fall? She could just send the answer back a few seconds, the answer in question being the one she got a few seconds ago, from a few seconds in the future.

I didn’t notice the legwarmer was missing until Marigold mentioned it. It’s amazing what you don’t notice until someone draws attention to it.
