That about sums it up. Inaction by congress after the Sandy Hill shootings of innocent children got to a lto of people from both sides, rational Americans and gun nuts defending they’re constitutional “rats”.

The gun lover does not want to lose the right for a mentally deranged gun owner to shoot the kid on the left. But not just with any gun, an assault rifle or large capacity magazine clearly designed to kill a lot of people in a short period of time. You got to wonder if these people believe in living in a civilised country.

why is it that the Rep’s/RWNJ’s scream about so many issues, but then do nothing about any issue?

The sad part is any mention of a gun law sends droves of people to the local gun shop to buy more guns. Gun sales are a growth business with the debate about gun control and the fear of a terrorist attack. Very sadly it is the gun owners in our country who will kill many thousands more that the terrorists.

Good Cartoon. Clay Jones. The “Right To Bear ..” is debateable but killing school children is an evil wrong with no justification.

So why can’t you liberals admit gun control laws and even gun bans don’t alter the murder or violent crime rates? Gun sales have been going up since 1997, yet violent crime and murder have been dropping. In countries where guns have been banned, the murder rate wasn’t affected despite liberal claims that gun laws and bans are the “silver bullet” that will fix everything.

Obama needed an issue to distract from the Iran Nuke deal that has just failed.

“Just what I expected.” Sorry, you don’t get to say “told you so” unless you actually tell us so first.

Since laws don’t solve all problems instantly, let’s just abolish laws. What could go wrong?

    1) prevent guns for self protection from getting into the hands of law abiding citizensWhat about expanding background checks to all gun sales, making all gun dealers (not including small personal sales) be licensed and expanding mental health care will apply to your false claim?-2) open the borderWho is proposing that?

Most of what’s in the EO is exactly what gun advocates and the NRA have been calling for, like more people to review applications, and closing opportunities for the mentally ill to acquire weapons; intersting the backlash from the gun nut fringe?
