How is that different from the various republican voter ID laws that will prevent tens of thousands of people from voting. There were 86 cases of voter fraud over the last five years or so. Not exactly a huge threat to democracy. Clearly voter ID laws are aimed at reducing the number of democratic votes and nothing else.

10,000, mostly old, women and children. And no they won’t be able to vote and most would vote Republican anyway.

Canada will welcome 25,000 Syrian refugees before spring. And welcome is the right word. There has been a huge outpouring of donations and offers of help for the refugees. There was news footage yesterday of some of the children who have already arrived going to school. It fair warms the heart.

If they are as intelligent as I think they are, when they become citizens, they’ll know the republicans hate them and vote Democrat-IC. Sad when even the cartoonist is an illiterate.

Even the anecdotal ‘evidence’ here is made up from whole cloth. Surprise, surprise, surprise.

ted why do you want non citizens to be able to vote ?

while doing research for a city election in 2009 i found of the 70 people i know in my precinct who voted in 11/08 were 2 dead people [02/08 and 07/08] that is only 3%

in order to have a case you have to grab them in the act when i found a few months later that dead had voted nothing could be done

Cartoon fail. Number is off by a factor of 50. And no, they can’t vote. And if they eventually become citizens and vote, they’d have to be total ignoramuses to vote for the Republicans who loathe them and wish them ill.

Well now, there’s an entire shipload of Horse Pucky..To Vote, they would First have to obtain Green Cards, Then wait 5 Years before they can even Apply for Citizenship..Most immigration lawyers charge between $5,000 to $7,500 to accompany a client through the green card process. Some cases can cost closer to $15,000 before adding on application fees and any potential family members. .Once they Apply, they have to wait for the (Deliberately) Very Badly Understaffed (and frequently Hostile) clerks at the INS to Process their applications..Last I heard, 10 to 15 Years from Green Card to Citizenship is not uncommon.
