    Pluggers are so stubbornly dedicated to their cars that they’ll spend thousands to fix it when they could buy a new car.

    My dad restores old (1910 to 1963) Buicks and Pontiacs as a hobby… There is actually a huge network of people around the country who sell and/or trade parts for classic or antique cars, both reproduction and new old stock, but for some of the older cars he has had to get some parts custom-machined.
