And so, so, so sad. I grew up listening to his routines, watching his shows and thinking his advice was well and good. Now, I find out he is a hypocrite of the absolute highest order. Sad, sad, sad.
Jail time, please. Of course, if this were happening in Texas he’d just get 10 years probation. And I notice that his wife didn’t appear in court with him.
His routines were great comedy, his personal behavior a tragedy, the media attention diverted by this story from real happenings in the world (no, not Trump) is a tragedy for the people, and a complete joke.
Just noting that Al Jazeera America will cover more stories from all around the world, in relative detail showing the complexity of what’s really going on in the world, in any one hour segment of NEWS, than all the network and other “cable” channels combined, will put out in a week. AND they Will even get in sports like the NFL and NBA, and give Trump and the other distractions like Cosby time relevant to their importance, a blip.
I can understand your anger over the historically horrible injustices that black people have suffered in this country from the very beginning. I share your anger, but I don’t think it necessarily applies here. Prior to the present situation I not only had great respect and affection for Mr. Cosby, but being an alumnus of the same college and growing up not far from him, had a certain neighborly affection, a feeling of kinship. What I can’t get around is that he agreed to a settlement with the accuser. If I had been falsely accused and was innocent, I would never do that but fight like crazy to preserve my good name and reputation. Also, he admitted to buying quaaludes for the exact purpose for which he has now been arraigned. How do you get around these facts? Perhaps you can help me to get around them so I can continue to hope that Mr. Cosby is the person who he always presented himself to be and will be cleared of all accusations and it will be found that all 50 women are lying slanderers. But I just can’t get around those two things. How do you do it?
You people? Who would that be, exactly?Recommend that you watch The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore, 11:30 PM on the Comedy Channel. Is he part of “you people?”
He should have swore allegiance to the Democratic party and he would be adored like Bill Clinton for being a sexual predator..Oh wait; Cosby is black. Never mind.

He has just been charged, and all of you have convicted him.

I do wonder why over the years at least a few of the alleged 40 victims did not attempt to report the incidents?

I wonder if he’ll try the ‘affluenza’ defense. Incidentally, in some earlier court documents, Cosby admitted to having obtained date rape drugs.

Simon_JesterYou don’t have to “try” that defense. If you are affluent, you have it automatically.

He hasn´t been found guilty yet … So they still have to prove their case.

Karma, the bologna of the weak-minded. Yes, I realize this is a joke, but too-many people believe in this stuff.
