Better now that the boy is going to be in the district spelling bee. He and another boy are representing their school. As a 5th grader he has to know words up to the 8th grade. I thought I knew all the 8th grade words. I was so very wrong. Eleemosynary: charitable…….Leitmotif or leitmotiv: a motif or theme associated throughout a musical drama with a particular person, situation or idea. Apparently I wouldn’t make it in the 8th grade.
English major in college, taught, went to Law School, do crossword puzzles and I can’t think of the word I want! Age will destroy the best education! Either that or I’m too lazy to think hard enough……nah…..me?
