I leave on a standard message when I’m in. I change it when I’m out to say when I’ll be back, that I won’t have access to voicemail or email, and how to reach someone else. Inevitably, when I return I have multiple messages from one person wondering why I’m not calling back. I’ve decided no one ever listens to the message.
