It’s a waste of time putting it on the tree. Rover will eat it faster than Red can hang it.

Even in my lifetime (I’m 60) putting popcorn on trees was ‘old fashioned’. I heard of it but I never actually saw it done.

Awwwww! I remember stringing popcorn once, only to find my dog eating it, as I was doing so! Hadn’t thought of that in years :D

I put a string of popcorn on our tree one year. I wish someone had told me not to use so much butter…

I was brought up in a house with pets. The rule was “No munchable ornriments on the lower branches!”.

As I read this cartoon, I am eating microwaved popcorn while my dogs dance around me trying to get at it to eat themselves. If I pug popcorn strings on my Christmas tree they would topple the tree to get at it all.

One dog wont eat popcorn unless the other one does…the will tag team that whole string if given the chance.

Hah! Popcorn is one of my dog’s most favorite treats. I make it plain for him, no salt…

Our dog didn’t care much for popcorn, buttered or not! However, we did have a couple of parakeets, Arnold and Maria, who were crazy about the stuff. If we were eating popcorn and their cage doors were closed, they would squawk up a racket until we let them out. They would fly directly to the bowl and help themselves to a treat!

I remember my family tried making popcorn strings once when I was a kid… but we ate too much of the popcorn and didn’t have enough for a string.

Red is looking so festive in his red sweater. Meanwhile, Rover is undoing all of Red’s hard work! So cute!

reminds me of the year I though hanging chocolate baubles on the tree. I don’t know why I thought this would be a good idea in an Australia summer. After a few days of 30c heat, those that weren’t eaten by my husband, melted into a gooey mess that attracted thousands of ants…
