Mr. Bors apparently drew this one and sent it in before it became that the male shooter was born in the US, and was, in fact, an American citizen. However, his 4th panel is spot on.We have way too much of this going on. It is not caused by a flood of “non-Christians” coming in.We really need a dialogue on this, but what we seem to always get is an ongoing set of opportunities for firearms marketing. With, apparently, considerable success. There has got to be a better way.

BTW, I am a gun owner.

The murderers in San Bernadino were, we now know, working for ISIS.

The killer at Umpqua Community College, who wasn’t a terrorist because he only killed 9 people, acted on his own. Nuts is nuts, just like Roof, and well Tim McViegh, no matter what radical ideology you assume.

Starbucks cup is a nice touch to point out another trigger for fanaticism that goes out of control, like well, Colorado Springs.

^Anyone who deliberately kills the innocent is nuts, and in this case goes against the specific teachings of Mohammed in the Quran.

What’s depressing is that “conservatives” will instantly blame any Muslim for terrorist activity, which IS appropriate; BUT, they also immediately leap to defend any Christian or right-wing terrorist like McVeigh, Roof, Dear, or at sites like Columbine, Umpqua College, UC Santa Barbara, or the hundreds of acts so far this year 355, the vast majority of which are NOT committed by Muslims.

Radical ideologies and those who inspire hatred, like Trump, Cruz, Huckabee, are the PROBLEM, not the solution. It doesn’t matter what the ideology might be, we must rise and reject ALL such hatred, whether from a deranged mullah who ignores his own Quran, or a deranged “Christian” who ignores the “better teachings” of his faith.
