How can you have a county auditor when you get rid of the office? What does Ke$ha even do with her fans’ teeth: mail them back the tooth fairy’s money?
Situations like that come about because bases have to be covered. If the voters decided to keep the county auditor’s office, they would need someone in the office.
My mother was in almost the same situation as William. She was elected Police Chief of our town by default when the only other candidate dropped out. But in the election she would’ve run in, they voted to do away with the police department.
