All of you have made my birthday special and you all have no idea how much you’ve lifted my spirits. I needed a boost and you all gave it to me.

Happy belated Birthday LadyKat. Sorry I missed the actual day. Hope you had a special day and I and all the fuzzies at my house are sending warm thoughts and good cheer to you.

Today’s strip made me stop and laugh out loud. Good thing I’m retired or my classroom would wonder what I was up to while they were working.

Today i am giving blood.My favorite charity.All it costs is some time and i get to help save a life.And then they give you a cookie!

The first time I donated blood I got chocolate cake and ice cream – not too bad. I haven’t been able to do it lately. Too many kidney infections.

And speaking of the shelter – she made me take back the kitten today. She said 2 people were there yesterday looking for a kitten to adopt and the only one there is much too young. It just about killed me to take her back. I took a bag of kitten food and begged her to put it in her dish. She cried all the way there. I also begged her to let the kitten run around the office. I told Linda the baby hates being cooped up and will cry constantly. The kitten was all snuggled up with Moose when I had to take her and it broke my heart.

I had not planned to do PetCo this weekend but will go. Linda said if the baby is not adopted by tomorrow at 4PM, I can go get her and take her to PetCo so now I’m forced to go.

She did send me home with the other baby. This one is very small, has a bit of the runs. I cleaned her little bottom the best I could with warm water but am going to call the vet in the morning to see if I can have them cut some of the matted hair on the tail. I’m afraid to do it – I might cut her.

I had a breakthrough with the adult tabby Linda asked me to bring home yesterday. All kitty did was hiss and growl at me each time I went in there. This evening, I went in and she came right over for pets and scratches. I won’t take her to PetCo because I think she needs more time here.

No blood donation today.The computers weren’t working.Ill try next week in Lincoln City.

I wish they would let me donate blood. I did when I was younger.But Malaria, Hepatitis, LSD, mononucleosis all disqualify me. All long in the past, but they are strict.I want my cookie!
