Yes, I could have picked a more accurate metaphor than “high-octane”; it’s one that was popular in my youth when few people knew what “high octane” actually meant to the function of an engine. I can’t think of any other popular ones right now.

@Nos NevetsI think he’s referring to his commitment to the high-octane life and then dramatizing it by and heading out to wherever one goes for that.
