Unfortunately some women have always been attracted to the dangerous men, good example are the Gladiators of Rome. At least in Rome the women knew it was just a one night stand, unlike the women of today who think they can live with men like Hardy.
@olongapojoe -actually, gladiators who were successful had long-lasting careers and even retirement. Granted, the average lifespan was a rather short one, but for a certain few, they lived quite well and even retired. They were high-priced commodities who got the best of care (for that time).
