A boy has a monster under his bed that represents 32,000 U.S. gun deaths per year. Parents: Don't be silly, dear... there are no ISIS monsters hiding under your bed!
“Why aren’t the Republikkkans trying to combat the ones we should really be afraid of in America? The gun-toting’ Teapublicans!”In all fairness, I haven’t seen anything to make me think a Tea Party minded person has shot a bunch of people. I do think the Tea Party is opposed to any reasonable measures to keep guns out of the hands of felons.
Just had a person in Oklahoma who was fired for having guns and ammunition in a company vehicle shoot from his car, approximately 45 bullets at vehicles, etc. around town over about a 3 1/2 hour period. 1 dog injured but will recover. More concerned with radicalized neighbors than fearful fleeing refugees. (do not know if he is associated with any party or ideology)
Being suspected is not the same as being convicted. Let’s put it this way:
We suspect you are a terrorist.
Please report to a Federal Prison where you will be held in solitary until we can bring you to trial for terrorism. If we cannot find proof you are a terrorist you will be held while we continue to see evidence.

These night-terrors brought to you by the world’s largest, best funded terrorist organization, the NRA, with El-Wayne LaPierre.

From the FBI report on Crime in The United States 2011, it list the number of homicide by firearm as 8,583.
https://www.fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/ucr/crime-in-the-u.s/2011/crime-in-the-u.s.-2011/tables/expanded-homicide-data-table-11
The CDC list 21,175 firearm suicideshttp://www.cdc.gov/nchs/fastats/suicide.htm
So I won’t worry too much about people who carry a gun turning the gun on me.
Instead of more gun control, would should demand more mental health help for these people

Do you see a pattern?
From 1981 until 1993, gun deaths increased under Reagan and Bush I.
From 1993 until 2001 under Clinton gun deaths declined. From 2001 until after 2005 under Bush II gun deaths again increased.
Since Bush II left office they have been decreasing.
