And then a newspaper in Southern California stopped using the cartoons of the most intelligent, insightful Gen-X genius who ever lived. I tell ya, it’s a conspiracy!!!!

Try being the Blank Generation … I wasn’t considered a baby boomer until they redefined it because of Gen X … I was born in 1958, much later than the first decade after the way … the true boomers were the hippies … I was too young for that, we were the original punks and I will never consider myself a boomer!!!

Most groups are painted with a broad brush by other groups, like you do to my group. I prefer to think of boomers as my boys and me a few hours after a nice vegetarian meal. Rand Paul is a Gen-Xer; vote for him.

Ted, we were the first generation to realize that there was no future. These millenials with their socialist agitations and social media preoccupations are, in general, numb to reality. For instance, we would never have been stupid enough to ask for $15 an hour minimum wage. It was pointless.

brine, I was born in 1959 and know exactly how you feel. Since I am the oldest child of Silent Generation parents, I never felt a part of the Boomer generation. I have defined Boomers by Vietnam. if you or your classmates were subject to the draft, you are a Boomer.

The reason here are so few Gen X Democrats rising is simple, Obama. Under Obama this entire generation of Democrat politicians has been destroyed in the 2010 and 2014 mid terms due to Obama and his policies. As a Conservative, I owe him a big “Thank you” for gutting his own party.

Has anyone ever considered that generational (and political) labels are just pablum for the masses to paper over individual achievements and/or drawbacks?

Generational labels are another form of class warfare. It is to the benefit of both political parties that the public be as fractured as possible. Otherwise the People may realize they are still in charge and oust the rascals.

Divide and conquer is a tactic of enemies. We therefore know what politicians truly are.

Both sides eagerly accept bribes from the 1%. Warren Buffet ordered Keystone cancelled as his railroad carries most of that oil and he would have lost money if the pipeline went through. Buffet is a major contributor to the DNC. If Hillary wins he will laugh all the way to the bank, which he owns. Trump and Sanders give Buffet pause. Sanders as he is an old school, Trotsky zealot and Trump as he is jealous of Buffet

Rall is either a fool or a tool. Either way, I like to read his stuff to see how silly or sneaky he is. Entirely co-opted.

The Beatles produced the song “I Me Mine” in 1970.

I honestly wonder if some of the Republicans on here keep straight faces while they comment here

Here’s a comment from a politician. “Shift attention away from their hugely unpopular legislative blunders. They’re Ignoring the fact that their economic policies and programs are not working. And they’re Name-calling their critics to try to minimize their anticipated losses in the November elections” Democrat or Republican?

Last time I checked, “The Me Generation” was being proudly worn by the boomers. Honestly, every generation has thought the cohort after them was a bunch of self absorbed whiners who were going to ruin the world, since forever.

Registration is growing for unaffiliated and libertarian and declining for the ones that promise but don’t deliver, yet blame everyone else.

Altruism is dying out in all parties, and segments of our society it seems, a large part of that is that “MEism” problem, and the other is that folks now figure that contributing a few bucks to a cause, or hiring those who can’t afford to, to fight our wars. Too many have “better things to do with my time.”.
