I actually found the strip this week quite well done.

Bern passed room 201 which is Tiff’s room. Looks like Tiff is coming back from somewhere. Where was she?

What happened to Dez’s complexion since yesterday?

-How would Bernice know that Tiffany is wearing Piro’s scarf?

If I’m remembering correctly, that striped scarf is the one that Piro wore during the rave and offered to TIffany when she was cold.

I don’t know that TIffany is acting all weirded out because she sees Bernice wearing a ‘Piro’ scarf, or because she sees what might look like a murderous look on Bernice’s face…

I don’t recall wearing scarves as a student in southern California. Maybe they just weren’t in fashion then, but it never seemed really cold enough to warrant them. A jacket that zipped to the collar would suffice.

How many scarves does this homeless guy own, anyway? He seems careless about losing them and/or giving them away. No wonder he can’t afford the rental on a room.

And by the same token:

-The funniest thing (sort of) is that Piro probably has yet to even think of either of them as potential girlfriends or lovers or what, since he’s stuck deeper in his own head than even Gunther…

Piro – the scarf-wearing denizen of the dorm. We know why Bern is wearing his scarf. But why is Tiff? He can’t have lost a scarf in both girls sofa’s.

A Tale of Two Scarfs. Piro is the destined protagonist….

Apparently, Karen doesn’t write for the casual Luann reader; you have to know the full backstory of Piro’s scarves.(His backpack is full of them and he marks his territory with them.)

And the love quadrangle is complete.

And, as we move to the college years, the templates shift; it’s no longer the old Luann/Tiffany rivalry – it’s Bernice v. Tiffany…

Pitts is in California… no one in California wears a scarf.

It does get cold in East San Diego County and snows sometimes. Remember this is California and what is mild to someone in Wisconsin will be cold to someone in SD county. a scarf isn’t too far out of bounds.

Bernice sure seems pleased to be sporting Piro’s scarf and she has to know that it is his. I don’t understand why Tiffany would wear one but it must mean that Piro crashed at Tiff’s! I guess she did pull him in when Gunther left. Did she have plans for Gunther that night & used Piro instead with the departure of Gunther in his quest of a coffe date with Bernice?

He must get a deal on scarves. How many has he left behind in his crashing career? It must be like marking his territory.

Piro has enough money to buy multiple scarves. Unless they give out scarves at the homeless shelter.

It snows in S. California sometimes. Definitely cold enough for a scarf.

Implausible said, How would Bernice know that Tiffany is wearing Piro’s scarf? How would Tiffany know Bernice is wearing Piro’s scarf? Is Piro suddenly known for all his different scarves? . . . . -—————————————————————-Apparently.

Luannville is NOT explicitly in So. California.,It is only the overly analytical here that have decided that. We have no such license. ,Pitts is far enough from Hollywood that one would most logically fly there.

uh..oh.. did Piro just leave his scarf behind mistakenly like he did at Bern’s? That would suggest he just slept on the couch and it got wedged between the cushions as opposed to sleeping w/ Tiffany…. we don’t know… it suggests a similar scenario… did they watch a movie?

Funny how Bern is carrying a book bag. Tiffany doenn’t even take a notebook to class.

So will we be left hanging next week as we tune back into that other triangle, Pru , Luann and Quill?

What happened to Gunther?

HAHaha, let’s hope so.

I can’t help but think that Piro is mostly an opportunist, and that if Tiffany hadn’t been standing in the hall w/ her door open at the time Piro happened to be coming, he would have continued on to Bern & Dez’s place.

We all know Tiffany, and we all know that she is as pure as the driven snow. She’s saving herself for when Gunther grows up.

i guess he can’t decide on what her wants her skin tone to be. or maybe it’s getting lost in translation somewhere between creation and when it hits the net.

Hey we might see which female is really in love with which young man here.

The disturbance in the force has nothing to do with a scarf. Or anyone collecting scarves.

Each knows that the scarf she is wearing was left behind by Piro when he spent the night in her dorm.

How? Besides neither knowing that Piro stayed the night with the other, Piro wears so many different scarves that they can’t possible a point out a “Piro scarf” from a regular scarf.

Easy. Dez identified the black one to a flustered Bernice only a few minutes (in comic time) before, and Tiffany only acquired the green striped one the night before.

They are probably each self-conscious about the scarf each is wearing, not the scard each sees the other wearing. Each is thinking, “She knows I’m wearing Piro’s scarf” rather than “She’s wearing Piro’s scarf”.

I thought the gag was that Bernice is dressed like a man and Tiffinay is dressed like a girl. Bernice could be Trans.

My guess is that Tiffany is wearing Piro’s scarf in order to make Gunther jealous
