Where would be be without our Vets going all the way back to the French and Indian Wars? What language would we be speaking? What form of government would we have? What would the rest of the world look like.Ponder this before just throwing out a “Thank you for your service” which for me is “Have a nice day” with cammo and a cover. It is just something we say, a triggered response. Should they be thanked for stepping up? Absolutely. Let’s just think about it and try for a little more sincerity.Thank you to all who stepped up while others sat at home complaining. I don’t really care why you did, it’s that you did.
And yet half of this country wants nothing but endless and eternal war. Hey! Here’s an interesting game. Name the political party that lusts for thousands of dead Americans and global instability—because oil profits, and reasons.
My great uncle was a submariner in WWI. My father and both his brothers served in Vietnam (2 retired as Colonels, one was KIA). I served in Iraq (and also retired as a Colonel.).For all of you making political hay out of what should be a unifying toon, you’re disgraceful. On this day, of all days, we should stand together.

My uncle and father-in-law were both in the Batle of the Bulge. I was in Viet Nam. My son’s been in Iraq, Bosnia, and elsewhere.
The chickenhawks not only never learn, they’re growing in number.
